Located in the southwest of Majorca, between the savage North Coast and the rugged Serra of Tramuntana. A village with sea views, cobblestone streets, corners stopped in time and long days of quite life. Starting point for many excursions to go up the emblematic mountain of Galatzó.

Estellencs is surrounded by "marjades", dry stone walls that allow the soil to hold the mountain and gain agricultural land. Almost two thirds of the city council are covered by "marjades". The first references to these systems date back to the thirteenth century. The olive is the predominant crop in the field terracing, and there are a large number of oil mills (tafonas). In the urban area we find the Son Largo tafona's, tafona des Forn and the tafona des Collet. There is an extensive hydraulic system which has its origin at the time of Arab domination, comprising sources underground cisterns, ditches, aqueducts, water mills and public laundries.

The church of Sant Joan Baptista, was built in the seventeenth century. The bell tower is an old defense tower built in the XVI-XVII in order to monitor and protect the people of the many pirate attacks between the XVI and XVII. In the nineteenth century was projected an extension of the temple, which was never completed. At the Plaza d'Es Trinquet there is another defense tower, Tem Alemany Tower, from the sixteenth century.

Outside the town of Estellencs we find the farm houses of "possessió", as are Son Serralta (XV century), És Collet and Son Fortuny (XVI century). Cala Estellencs lies at the foot of the village with clear water and rocky seabed, with a small fishing port where we found the "escars", buildings designed to save small vessels and protect them from storms.
